The Kalashnikov concern announced the start of deliveries of 9M333 anti-aircraft missiles in 2026. The first batch has already been received by the military department. The ammunition is intended for the Strela-10 air defense systems, which are actively used in the Russian army.
The 9M333 missile is capable of hitting targets at any time of the day. It works even when the enemy sets up heat traps or creates optical interference. The weapon is effective against drones, cruise missiles, airplanes and helicopters. The SAM homing head has three modes of operation: photo contrast, infrared and jamming.
Serial production began in 2020. Company representatives emphasized that the missile demonstrated high combat characteristics. This served as a reason for increasing government orders for 2026.
