Rostec has for the first time presented the TKB-1167 aerial target engagement system abroad. The complex, featuring four 7.62 mm PKT tank machine guns, was showcased at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt, where it became one of Russia's new products for combating drones.

TKB-1167 is primarily designed for small, low-flying targets that may be too complex or economically unfeasible to engage with more expensive air defense systems.
The system is intended to operate as an independent defense tool or as the lowest tier of an echeloned anti-drone defense for facilities. According to Rostec, the complex is already on combat duty and engaging real targets.
The combat module includes four PKT machine guns. The system is capable of independently detecting, recognizing, acquiring, and tracking drones, after which it provides target designation to the machine gun mounts. The official description emphasizes that the operator only needs to make the decision to destroy the target.
The published photos also show a spherical module installed above the machine guns. Its design resembles an optoelectronic observation unit, but Rostec does not disclose its composition or specify which optical and thermal imaging channels are used.
However, Rostec has not yet provided the engagement range of the TKB-1167, its exact ammunition load, rate of fire, or other quantitative parameters.
