Uralvagonzavod has filed a lawsuit demanding the termination of an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade on state support for technological developments. The Moscow Arbitration Court has accepted the claim for proceedings.

The parties concluded the agreement on June 30, 2021. It provided for the provision of a subsidy from the federal budget to the enterprise to compensate for the costs of research and development work on modern technologies.
UVZ believes that the conditions under which the parties entered into the agreement have significantly changed. The Ministry of Industry and Trade must submit a written reasoned response and documents confirming the department's position.
Uralvagonzavod is a key manufacturer of armored vehicles in Russia. The enterprise produces T-90M "Proryv", T-80BVM, and T-72B3 tanks, which will receive the new "Arena-M" active protection in the future.
In November 2025, another legal dispute between Uralvagonzavod and the Ministry of Industry and Trade also concluded. The companies were issued over 106 million rubles as a subsidy for the development of new equipment, but the funds had to be returned.
