In Izhevsk, the criminal case against the former general director of JSC "Uralskiye Zavody", Vasil Musin, accused of large-scale fraud, has begun, CNews reports. According to the investigation, between 2015 and 2023, Musin and his alleged accomplice, Vitaly Shurygin, who is on the wanted list, supplied about 6.5 thousand "Erika-360" radio stations for the needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Rosgvardiya.

The prosecution claims that the equipment was assembled from Chinese components, which did not comply with the terms of the state contracts, which required domestic products. The damage to the state is estimated at more than 383 million rubles.

Musin himself denies his guilt. According to him, "Erika" radio stations are not military equipment, and the norms of the law "On Defense", to which the investigation refers, are not applicable to them. He also claims that the requirements for "Russian origin" of components were not specified in the contract terms. The defense states that all production processes were carried out under the control of law enforcement agencies, and the money from state contracts was directed to the development of the enterprise, and not for personal gain.
