Russian industry has the resources to increase the production of "Geran" drones to 5 thousand units per month. This forecast was given by the rybar Telegram channel.

The authors noted that "Gerans" can effectively only be shot down by anti-aircraft missiles, while jet interceptors do not have such an effect. However, SAMs are too expensive to produce.

Military analyst Kirill Fyodorov reported that the jet drone production plant in the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan continues to expand. In his opinion, this indicates an increase in capacity for the serial production of Geran-4 and Geran-5 drones.

There is also a proposal to change the launch method of "Geran-5s" and move them to Soviet Su-25 attack aircraft. The main aircraft thus gains the ability to operate at a significantly greater distance from the line of contact.

According to open sources, the "Geran-5" is capable of independently selecting a target and hitting it at a range of up to 600 km.
