A repair complex for servicing dump trucks is being prepared for launch at the Olenegorsky Mining and Processing Plant (AO "Olkon") in the Murmansk region. The equipment will reduce downtime for mining machinery, according to the press service of the Severstal mining and metallurgical company, which owns the GOK.

Workers will install a tire fitting device with a lifting capacity of 80 tons. With its help, a dump truck can be lifted by the body, and wheels and tires can be replaced without involving a tractor.

Alexander Danilov, chief engineer of the repair group at AO "Olkon", explained that without lifting the machine, specialists cannot proceed with dismantling, and tractor drivers are often busy with other tasks.

The new complex will practically reduce this waiting time to zero and return equipment to operation faster.

The repair complex will also feature a compressor station for inflating wheels and pneumatic systems of dump trucks.

Olenegorsky GOK produces iron ore concentrate. The enterprise uses heavy equipment of Belarusian production. In March 2025, Severstal announced the start of deliveries of 11 BELAZ-7513T mining dump trucks with a carrying capacity of up to 136 tons.
