Russia has mastered the production of specialized riveting machines that allow for rapid assembly of aircraft fuselages and wings. As Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov stated at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, previously this technology was available only to three countries in the world.

And now, in addition to building our own aircraft, we are also building them with our own equipment.

Over five years, the manufacturing industry has grown by almost 25%. In 2025, the volume of investments reached 7.3 trillion rubles — one and a half times more than in 2021 in comparable prices. The commissioning of new capacities increased by more than 80%. The average salary in manufacturing approached 100 thousand rubles, with real growth of almost 14%.

Putin supported the proposal to launch special investment contracts for the end consumer. For every billion rubles spent on data center construction, there are about 7 billion in equipment costs — servers and data storage systems, which are already produced in Russia with a high level of localization. Investors will receive tax preferences with the obligation to purchase domestic equipment.

Under the industrial mortgage program, over 1100 projects have been implemented in three years, and 5 million square meters of production facilities have been commissioned. Within the framework of the national project "New Materials and Chemistry," 12 industry engineering centers have been created based on universities, three more will appear by the end of the year, and six more next year. The Industrial Development Fund has financed over 2200 projects totaling almost 850 billion rubles.

We have already written about the development of riveting machine production in Russia

The production of machines for MS-21 fuselage assembly was launched in Russia in 2025. The first unit was sent to the Nizhny Novgorod "Sokol" plant, and four more machines were planned for delivery in 2026–2027. Later, in December 2025, Mikhail Mishustin announced the serial production of such machines.
