Almost 20 thousand cubic meters of soil were excavated on a 113 km long section near the Irkutsk HPP on the Angara River. The work was carried out by dredges that are part of the dredging fleet of the "Yeniseyrechtrans" Administration. This was reported by the press service of Rosmorrechflot.

The need for dredging was determined by the results of continuous fairway sweeping carried out before the opening of navigation.
Before starting work, specialists surveyed the bottom relief on the survey vessel "Kulan" (Project 292), calculated the volume of soil, and created a 3D model of the water area.

The dredging involved the multi-bucket dredge "VS-202" (Project R-010) with a capacity of 250 cubic meters/hour, the tug-barge carrier "Utes" (Project R-33B), barges "Shl-5" and "Shl-6" (Project 1051), and the guard vessel "B-110" (Project 95/95A).
Characteristics of the tug "Utes":
- Length — 33.07 m
- Width — 7.7 m
- Displacement — 210 t
- Draft — 1.4 m
- Number of holds — 4
- Fuel type — diesel
The vessel of Project R-33B was built at the Limenda Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in Kotlas, Arkhangelsk Oblast. The tug is registered in the port of Perm.
