The success of the new Lada Azimut crossover depends on its cost. Since AvtoVAZ is entering a highly competitive segment, the price must be comparable to models of the same class. However, the Russian car has an advantage. This opinion was expressed by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat agency.

It will sell because it is a Russian car, it has preferences, and there are Lada owners who want to switch from model to model.
If the price is market-driven, then the Lada Azimut has a chance to enter the top 10 model ratings. But interest in this crossover will be "one way or another", Tselikov concluded.

AvtoVAZ will start production of the new model in September 2026. Sales will start in the fourth quarter of the year.
The Lada Azimut will be equipped with a modernized 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 120 hp, a manual transmission, and electric seat adjustment. Later, the crossover will receive a turbocharged engine with 150 hp and an automatic transmission.
