AvtoVAZ showcased all colors of the new Lada Azimut crossover before sales launch

The model has already received a design award, and the interior promises GigaChat, a panoramic roof, and surround-view cameras

The new Russian crossover Lada Azimut is getting closer to market launch. AvtoVAZ has shown eight color options for the car. The SUV will become the flagship of the brand's future lineup.

The crossover is designed in the signature X-design concept. The company focused on strict body lines, recognizable geometry, and a more modern appearance.

AvtoVAZ emphasizes that avant-garde design solutions were used in creating the model to make the car more expressive.

It is separately noted that Azimut has already received the national award "Best Industrial Design of Russia" in the vehicle category.

The jury evaluated the model's technological sophistication, ergonomics, artistic level, and orientation towards the global market. Serial production of Lada Azimut is expected in September, and sales are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The estimated cost of the crossover will range from 2.2 to 2.5 million rubles.

Initially, the model will be offered with two naturally aspirated engines:

  • A 1.6-liter engine with 120 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission;
  • A 1.8-liter engine with 132 hp paired with a variator.

The drive will only be front-wheel drive for now.

The equipment will include a multimedia system with GigaChat and Sber services, full LED optics, surround-view cameras, an electric tailgate, and a panoramic roof.

A powerful hybrid version with all-wheel drive and up to 390 hp with a plug-in module is also expected.
