The new joint Russian-Belarusian aircraft LMS-192 "Osvey" is still at the stage of forming working design documentation. The estimated cost of the project cannot yet be assessed, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to him, there were difficulties with "Osvey" in coordinating with customers, both military and civilian.
We are currently coordinating with the Belarusian side on how we will divide possible additional costs caused by new requirements.
From Alikhanov's words, it follows that the LMS-192 has not yet even passed the stage of writing experimental design documentation at UZGA. The transition to creating a prototype aircraft is possible only after the completion of this stage.
Sergey Glazyev, State Secretary of the Union State, predicted that work on the creation of "Osvey" would be completed in the next two years. He admitted that he did not understand the reason for the delay, as everything necessary for production is already available.
