Serial production of carbon fiber frames for drones has been launched in Yekaterinburg. The capacities of "Uralhimapparat" and OKB "Valkyrie" allow producing up to 60 thousand kits per month.

Manufacturers expect to cover part of the needs of Russian UAV developers, who still purchase frames from China.

Most domestic companies producing UAVs continue to build production chains based on the purchase of Chinese frames and components. In fact, they proceed from the assumption that China will always be with us and will supply the required volume of products under any circumstances.

Currently, the factories produce structures for FPV drones with diameters from 8 to 17 inches, as well as hexacopters and octocopters. A separate direction is modular "Viverna" platforms and frames for interceptor drones.

At the same time, production is designed not only for the assembly of finished products. The composite direction has been operating since 2019, where they have mastered the production of carbon fabric, prepregs, carbon fiber sheets and pipes, and have also developed their own thermopresses and tooling.
