The cost of one Geran-4 jet drone is estimated at approximately 100 thousand dollars – about 8.5 million rubles. This figure was provided by analysts from "Voennaya Khronika" (Military Chronicle) with reference to foreign sources.
According to their calculations, this is twice as expensive as the Geran-2. The basic operating radius is reduced to 500 km.
That is, Russia is deliberately trading some range and cheapness for speed.
A few days ago, it became known that the Geran-4 flew 900 km for the first time – almost twice the declared distance. The devices are equipped with new Telefly LX-WP-160 and Telefly TF-TJ2000A engines.
The drone also received a new aerodynamic design with a reinforced structure. The wings are no longer detached from the center section, and the number of technological hatches on the body has been reduced to decrease air resistance.
