Proposals from developers of small aircraft and helicopters may be taken into account when updating the Comprehensive Program for the Development of the Russian Aviation Industry (KPGA). The possibility of including these projects in the supply forecast was outlined by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, at a round table on the development of small aviation.
According to the minister, the KPGA is currently being updated on the instructions of the President of Russia. At the stage of forming projected supply indicators, the authorities are ready to consider proposals from manufacturers and developers of equipment for small aviation.
Alikhanov noted that small aircraft and helicopters can complement the existing model range of Russian civil aviation. This refers to equipment that can occupy a separate niche between medium-haul and regional aircraft.
The main problem here, of course, is the availability of investments. Aircraft must have good, sufficient serial production, and low cost. Therefore, our task is primarily to create a line of engines, units, and instruments for universal use.
For small aviation developers, the update of the KPGA can be an opportunity to present their projects when forming future supply plans. However, specific models, production volumes, and delivery times were not specified in the statement by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The decision to include developers' proposals will be made within the framework of the KPGA update. The program is currently in the updating phase, and projected supply indicators are still being formed.
