The Russian Ministry of Defence has filed a lawsuit against the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA). The department's claims amount to 679 million rubles, and the case is being heard in a closed session by the Moscow Arbitration Court.

This is not the only lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Defence against the enterprise. Since 2025, the department has also been seeking 4.7 billion rubles from UZGA.

The Ural Plant is developing the LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft, which was intended for serial production as early as 2026, but these plans are not destined to come true — structural flaws were found in the An-2 replacement.

Another important UZGA project is the regional "Ladoga," the development of which has also been delayed.

Sergey Merenkov, Chief Designer of Transport Aircraft at UZGA, stated that the TVRS-44 was ultimately decided to be transferred to the Ministry of Defence for the development of a ramp cargo version or one with a side door.
