Ulyanovsk company "Forsh" has expanded its production of large-sized molds, dies, and special tooling for aircraft manufacturing and the automotive industry, including for the production of fuselage parts for the Tu-214 passenger aircraft. To achieve this, the enterprise increased its capacity by 10% and put into operation a new machining center capable of processing parts up to 11 meters long and weighing up to 30 tons with an accuracy of up to 0.025 mm.
The new equipment is used for manufacturing large-sized tooling required for the production of bumpers, instrument panels, and door trims for AvtoVAZ, KAMAZ, GAZ, and UAZ vehicles. In aircraft manufacturing, this tooling is used for the production of Tu-214 fuselage parts.
Dmitry Bobnev, General Director of AO "Forsh", reported that the new equipment operates around the clock. According to him, the expansion of production allowed the enterprise to increase the output of tooling for the automotive industry and simultaneously expand its capabilities to fulfill orders for domestic aircraft manufacturing.
