The key manufacturer of PD-8 engines for Superjets is once again at the center of a legal dispute. Stupino Metallurgical Company demanded 88 million rubles from Rybinsk ODK-Saturn.
The case is being heard by the Arbitration Court of the Yaroslavl Region. The next hearing was scheduled for September 9, and the lawsuit itself was filed on July 31. Apparently, it concerns non-payment for delivered parts.
This is not the first case involving "Saturnovtsy" in court. Recently, the Yaroslavl Interregional Department of the FAS already fined the Rybinsk plant for violating established payment deadlines for small businesses.
Stupino Metallurgical Company specializes in the production of steel, titanium, and aluminum products for the aviation and space industries. Its products are used in the production of aircraft and rocket technology.
Former Airbus auditor Andrey Patrakov also noted that re-engining with PD-8 will not solve the SSJ-100 problem. According to him, dozens of imported components remain in the airliners, which are simply not produced in Russia.
