The body armor and helmet from the new "Novator" equipment kit have begun state tests. This was announced by Alan Lushnikov, head of the "Kalashnikov" concern, noting that the design includes a weight distribution system, and the backpack is integrated with the body armor.

According to Lushnikov, this scheme allows redistributing the load and reducing its impact on the serviceman. Currently, the body armor and helmet are undergoing state tests, while other elements of the kit are already undergoing military trials.

The "Novator" kit itself, known as VKPO 3.2, has been tested in the troops since April. The check is designed for a year and involves tens of thousands of servicemen in more than 100 military units. The tests are organized in nine military districts and cover 32 regions of Russia.

The kit includes fleece underwear and a jacket, a demi-season suit, a wind and waterproof suit with improved membrane fabric, an insulated suit, headwear, a scarf made of non-combustible fabric, demi-season gloves, and insulated mittens.

The first tests of "Novator" took place last year. After them, the design was refined, and new solutions have already been included in the serial composition of the equipment. If, based on the results of the current tests, the customer proposes additional changes, "Kalashnikov" designers will also be able to adjust the products.
