Rostselmash has begun field tests of its 9-meter stripper header. The new adapter is designed for harvesting wheat, barley, rye, as well as groat and seed crops. Stripping technology, unlike traditional cutting, reduces the load on the thresher, cuts fuel consumption, and preserves stubble, which is critically important for moisture-saving technologies in arid regions.

The new product is aggregated with RSM 161, TORUM, and H820 combines. The working width is 9 meters, and the unit's operating speed reaches 12 km/h, ensuring high productivity. The adjustable drum rotation speed allows for adaptation to crop characteristics, while the terrain following system and hydraulic control from the cabin simplify the operator's work.

Rostselmash clarified that after the completion of tests and refinements, a decision will be made on launching a pilot industrial batch.

In the segment of 9-meter stripper headers, Rostselmash previously did not have its own development. The main players in the market were foreign companies: MacDon (Canada) and Shelbourne Reynolds (Great Britain), whose equipment was significantly more expensive and became difficult to access under sanctions. Chinese counterparts in this segment generally lag in adaptation to local soil and climatic conditions. The creation of its own machine will allow farmers to abandon expensive imports and reduce logistics and service costs.
