TORUM 785 Combine Becomes More Powerful and Versatile Thanks to New Inclined Chamber

Rostselmash engineers have strengthened the header drive and improved the mass feeding system for operation in difficult conditions

Rostselmash has updated the design of the inclined chamber of the TORUM 785 combine. The changes are aimed at increasing the versatility of the machine and ease of operation when harvesting different crops. Farmers will be able to switch between tasks more quickly without additional modifications to the equipment.

The basic version of the chamber now includes a single hydraulic connector and an adjustable angle of attack. The solution simplifies the connection of adapters: the operator does not need to spend time preparing the machine for changing crops. The designers retained the control logic, while adding flexibility in the settings.

The header drive power has increased by more than 50% to 120 kW. The traction reserve allows you to effectively use 12-row corn headers even with a high planting density. The engine stably transmits force to the working elements, which reduces the risk of downtime due to overloads.

To protect components in difficult conditions, an enlarged stone trap is provided. It more reliably retains solid inclusions in stony areas. The articulated suspension of the conveyor has also been improved: it ensures smooth mass feeding when harvesting high-yielding crops and reduces the load on the system elements.

TORUM is a Russian rotary-type grain harvester of the 7th class. Developed by Rostselmash in 2009.
