The Tenet T4 crossover has been officially discontinued – the model's lifecycle has ended, although production started almost a year ago at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. Sales began in late August.

The company explained the decision by stating that consumer preference research showed increased demand for an affordable family crossover with a spacious interior and modern features. The extended T4L version has taken its place in the lineup.

The basic Tenet T4 version was equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine (113 hp) paired with a 5-speed manual or a variator – only with front-wheel drive. The turbocharged version (147 hp) offers two options: with a 6-speed robotic gearbox (DCT6) and front-wheel drive, or with a 7-speed robotic gearbox (DCT7) and all-wheel drive.

As for the T4L, its main feature is its dimensions. Compared to the regular T4, the L model is 186 mm longer (total 4506 mm), the wheelbase has increased by 40 mm (2650 mm), and the height has increased by 50 mm (1701 mm).

However, the "filling" remained the same as in the turbocharged T4 version. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (model SQRE4T15C), with 147 hp and 210 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed robotic gearbox (DCT6) with a "wet" clutch. The drive is only front-wheel.
