The revived Volga brand (OOO "DLA") has announced plans for deep localization of key components. According to company head Tatyana Fadeeva, at least 60 billion rubles will be invested in production development and component localization over the next ten years. This refers to proprietary 2.0-liter engines and 8-speed automatic transmissions, which are intended to replace the imported units currently installed in the K40 (Geely Atlas), K50 (Geely Monjaro), and C50 (Geely Preface) sedan models.

In parallel, the company is forming a cluster of Russian component suppliers around itself. Production has already been launched at the former Volkswagen plant in Nizhny Novgorod, where the core of the previous team has been retained and active recruitment of new employees continues. Currently, about 1500 cars have rolled off the assembly line, and the enterprise operates in a full first shift mode.

Market ambitions are supported by figures. The Volga brand's sales plan for 2026 has been increased from 25–27 thousand to more than 30 thousand cars, and by 2027 the brand expects to double its volumes and occupy about 5% of the Russian automotive market. The dealer network is expected to grow to 100 centers by September and to 130 by November. Base prices for the models have already been announced: the K40 crossover starts from 2.75 million rubles, the C50 sedan from 2.9 million, and the flagship K50 from 4.2 million rubles, with a 5-year or 150 thousand kilometer warranty.

In May 2024, during the presentation of the first prototypes, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin criticized the project management for the low level of localization of simple elements.
