ODK-Klimov found a way to significantly speed up the manufacturing of parts for aircraft engines – new production tooling reduced the production time for suspension clamps by 57%. The solution won the competition for the best engineering ideas of the enterprise, which is part of Rostec's United Engine Corporation and participates in the creation of domestic power plants, including the PD-14 engine for the MC-21 aircraft.

The main result of the competition was the introduction of a special device that allows a standard batch of parts to be produced almost twice as fast. The development helped optimize the production process without changing the design of the products and increased the efficiency of the section.

Second place was taken by a solution to accelerate the processing of large-sized parts. An employee of the heat treatment section proposed using a special device for faster blowing of parts with compressed air, which reduces the time for transferring products to the next stage of production.

The third best idea was warehouse optimization: specialists improved document preparation and order picking, which reduced delays in issuing parts to production workshops.

ODK-Klimov noted that the competition has been held twice a year since 2023 and helps identify practical solutions directly from enterprise employees. Over 100 employees have participated in it, and the implemented proposals are aimed at improving production culture and reducing time losses.
