ODK-Saturn presented the best engineering projects aimed at improving the efficiency of production of Russian aircraft engines PD-8 and PD-14. The annual business process improvement competition recognized initiatives that help increase the throughput of production sites, optimize parts production, and accelerate the execution of key operations.

Among the most effective developments was a project to increase the throughput of the forging and pressing shop group, which produces working fan blades for the PD-8 engine. The solution took second place in the "Project of the Year" nomination and is aimed at increasing the production capabilities of one of the important parts of the new Russian aircraft engine.

Another recognized project is related to improving the inventory process of components for experimental design work on the PD-14 engine. The development was among the best initiatives in the "Start of the Year" category and is designed to improve the accuracy of accounting and the efficiency of working with components in the creation of aviation equipment.

The first place in the "Project of the Year" category was awarded to a project to improve the operational efficiency of the mechanical assembly shop. Among the winners were also initiatives to create interactive technical documentation for engine maintenance, improve the coordination of documents for aircraft engines, and reduce the cost of maintaining production processes.

Following the competition, the company noted that the implementation of such projects allows for improving the production system, increasing the stability of product output, and finding new ways to accelerate the development and manufacture of aircraft engines.
