Russian developers have created domestic systems that were previously supplied by only one company in the world – Collins Aerospace, part of the Honeywell structure. This refers to complex onboard equipment, including sensors for preventing collisions with other aircraft and ground objects. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Anton Alikhanov.

According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian engineers have managed to solve a problem that was long considered the exclusive competence of the largest foreign manufacturers of aviation equipment. Now such systems are being developed and produced in St. Petersburg.

Alikhanov noted that the key difference of new generation Russian passenger aircraft, including the MC-21, SJ-100, and Tu-214, lies in the creation of their own technological base. According to him, Russia is among the few countries capable of developing aircraft using its own design solutions and components.

The Minister emphasized that the full cycle of aircraft creation opens up opportunities not only for the domestic market but also for entering international platforms. Proprietary technologies allow for additional stability in the aviation industry and reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.
