Foreign sources have reported new characteristics of the Russian small-sized cruise missile S8000 "Banderol", stating an increase in its use and a modernized version for 2026. According to foreign authors, the product has received updated parameters for range, speed, and can be used with several types of carriers. There is no official confirmation of this information. The analysis of the materials was carried out by the Russian publication "Tekhnosfera Rossiya".

According to data provided by foreign sources, the missile has a flight range of up to 400 kilometers and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 650 km/h. Previously, foreign publications mentioned higher range estimates – up to 500 kilometers.

The authors pay special attention to the missile's propulsion system. According to their information, the S8000 "Banderol" can be equipped with a compact turbojet engine Swiwin SW800Pro-A95 of Chinese production. Its mass is estimated at approximately 8.5 kilograms, and the declared thrust reaches 81.6 kgf.

Foreign sources also indicate that the missile allegedly received an OFBCh-150 high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing about 114 kilograms. Of this volume, approximately 50 kilograms, according to their assessment, accounts directly for the explosive material.

As possible carriers, foreign authors name ground launchers, Mi-28N attack helicopters, and heavy Orion drones. In addition, it is claimed that foreign electronic components may be used in the control system.

However, all information about the design, characteristics, and production scale of the S8000 "Banderol" is based on data from foreign sources. Russian official structures have not publicly disclosed these parameters.
