The Voronezh Aircraft Plant (VASO) is divesting non-core assets amid uncertainty surrounding the future production of the Il-96 long-haul airliner. The enterprise put up for sale the "Salyut" health camp and the "Zvyozdny" recreation center near the main site of the enterprise.

The total starting cost of the lots was 194.3 million rubles, although the initial price was 233.8 million rubles.

The lease terms for both territories are set until March 19, 2063; access to the facilities is via a dirt road.

VASO is the only site in Russia for the serial production of the Il-96-400M. Aviation expert Oleg Panteleev explained that the airliner was initially uninteresting to airlines, which chose Boeing and Airbus.
