Two of Russia's largest electric vehicle charging complexes have appeared in the Solnechnogorsk urban district. They are located at the 63rd and 75th kilometers of the M-11 "Neva" highway. The project was implemented by Avtodor.

In total, 27 electric stations for fast (with a capacity of 150 to 210 kW) and long-term charging (with a capacity of up to 22 kW) were installed there.

Even in case of power outage, backup capacities are provided.

The department explained that one of the stations provides charging for electric buses. Here, public transport drivers can replenish their range and use other road services.

In Russia, the demand for used electric vehicles has sharply increased against the backdrop of an unstable situation in the fuel market. From January to May, about 6 thousand electric vehicles were sold. This is 34% more than in the same period of 2025. In June, this trend continued. The most popular used electric car was the Nissan Leaf.
