Avito is exploring the launch of its own dating service for serious relationships. They want to integrate it directly into the main application, but the final decision will be made after market analysis and user interest verification.
The platform plans to focus on security and accurate recommendations. The company is considering mandatory profile verification, protection against fakes and bots, three-stage moderation, and verification through external services, including Gosuslugi. The section will be free to use.
Entering the market seems logical: Avito already has a large audience and machine learning technologies. In 2025, the revenue of the largest Russian dating services grew by 25% and reached 6.2 billion rubles, with about 75% of the market occupied by VK Znakomstva, Mamba, and Twinby.
Industry participants warn that identity verification alone will not be enough. Users need convenient matchmaking, lively profiles, and a separate space so that interest in dating does not appear in their main profile. For now, the project remains in the development stage and may not reach a full launch.
