New Russian main battle tanks T-72B3A received technology that just a few years ago was exclusively associated with advanced artillery systems like HIMARS. We are talking about a digital guidance system for firing from covered firing positions.

Now crews no longer need to use a classic artillery aiming circle to prepare firing data.

After reaching the position, the commander enters the necessary data, after which the system helps to quickly orient the gun in the desired direction. Fire adjustment is carried out by drones, which transmit the results of hits in real time.

The new digital scheme significantly reduces the time to prepare for opening fire and allows for faster departure from the position after completing the task.

Earlier it became known that Uralvagonzavod is developing a new generation tank with elements of robotization and artificial intelligence.
