The expert community of the State Council of the Russian Federation Commission on "Physical Culture and Sports" proposed granting basic sport status to drone racing, competitive programming, and phygital sports in all regions of Russia. The initiative is planned to be implemented by the end of 2026.

The Drone Racing Federation of the Rostov region explained that such measures are necessary to create a unified institute of sports disciplines in the country. It is assumed that this will allow realizing human potential, ensuring technological leadership and a sustainable economy, creating a comfortable environment, and preserving the nation's health. No single program, the federation emphasized, provides such a ratio of results as a unified institute with a common infrastructure and measurable indicators.

The high demand among children for technical sports is highlighted. High-tech sports, innovative, and technical disciplines help shape children into future specialists with the competencies necessary for the digital economy.
