"Medved" Goes into Production: Trucks for the Far North Receive Manufacturing Approval

A new family of "Medved" brand trucks has passed certification and received Vehicle Type Approval. Production will be organized in Miass at the facilities of the "Prostor Avto" company. The development was carried out jointly with the Novgorod enterprise Meusburger Novtrak. The vehicles have been adapted for operation in the conditions of the Far North.

Modifications with 6x4 and 6x6 wheel formulas were certified – flatbed, chassis, and dump trucks. The engines are Chinese Weichai, running on diesel fuel, compressed and liquefied natural gas. The gearboxes are mechanical and robotic Fast Gear, and the axles are Hande. The cabin is of Chinese origin, resembling the Shacman X3000 in appearance.

The manufacturer's website also mentions 8x4 and 8x8 modifications, although they are not yet included in the Type Approval. Since last autumn, one of the "Medved" dump trucks has been undergoing tests in Yakutia at the Udachninsky Mining and Processing Plant.
