The new BAZ S35A11 was showcased at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The production of special equipment has been established by JSC "Romanov" at the former Scania MAN site. This was the company's first participation in SPIEF.
In May, it was reported that BAZ truck production is planned to increase to six vehicles per day. Previously, the enterprise produced two vehicles per day.
The all-wheel drive tractor with a 6x6 wheel arrangement was created based on proprietary design solutions. More than 90% of components and assemblies are supplied by Russian and Belarusian enterprises. The vehicle is equipped with independent spring suspension, 400 millimeters of ground clearance, and a centralized tire inflation system. It is designed for operation in difficult road and climatic conditions.
At the stand, the company introduces the business audience to its competencies in the field of creating heavy off-road equipment, demonstrating the potential of domestic automotive industry and its contribution to import substitution and technological sovereignty of Russia. BAZ is positioned as a direct replacement for European brands Scania and MAN that have left the Russian market.
