Lada Iskra Breaks into Top Three Most Popular AvtoVAZ Models for the First Time

Lada Iskra has entered the top three best-selling AvtoVAZ models for the first time. From June 15 to 21, 2026, 765 such vehicles were sold in Russia. The model overtook Lada Niva Travel and took third place in the brand's sales ranking, experts from the Avtostat agency reported, citing data from AO PPK.

Previously, Iskra's best result in the Lada model ranking was fourth place. It followed Granta, Vesta, and Niva Travel. Now, "Iskra" has climbed to third place for the first time, leaving Niva Travel behind.

If we look not only at Lada but at the entire Russian market for new cars, Lada Granta remains the leader. For the 25th week of 2026, 2,771 such cars were sold. The Haval Jolion crossover came in second with 2,018 units sold, and TENET took third place with 1,594 cars.

Further down the overall ranking are Lada Vesta with 1,317 vehicles and the TENET T4L crossover, which sold 976 units. Lada Iskra, with 765 cars sold, took sixth place across the entire market. It slightly outpaced Lada Niva Travel, which had 756 vehicles sold.

The top 10 also included the Geely Monjaro and Belgee X50+ crossovers – 679 and 659 cars, respectively. Lada Niva Legend closed out the top ten with 638 vehicles.

In total, 28,013 new passenger cars were sold in Russia during the 25th week of 2026. This is 27.2% more than the previous week and 18.8% higher than the result for the same period last year.
