The Russian company RCI Service from Samara has developed the first turbo kit for the Lada Iskra with a 1.6-liter 16-valve engine. A Garrett turbocharger and custom-designed adapters are installed on the car.
The system operates with a boost pressure of 0.75 bar. After the upgrade, the engine power increases from 106 to 150–160 hp, and the torque to 230–240 N•m.
According to the developers, acceleration to 100 km/h is reduced to approximately 7.5–8 seconds, compared to 12.6 seconds for the standard version. The maximum speed increases from 180 to 210 km/h.
The cost of the turbo kit, including installation, is about 365 thousand rubles. Currently, the upgrade is only available for cars with a manual transmission.
