Scooter via "Max": Urent Launches Age Verification via Digital ID

Urent has started testing age verification via "Digital ID" in the "Max" messenger. For now, the function is available to users in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad, and by the end of the year, the service plans to extend it to all cities where it operates.

To pass the verification, you need to open the "Profile" section in the Urent app and select verification via "Digital ID". Accounts in kicksharing and "Max" must be linked to the same phone number.

The verification is automatic and only needed once – it can be completed in advance, even before the first ride. Only users over 18 years old can issue a "Digital ID", so the service expects to reduce the number of scooter rentals by minors.

Urent already uses age verification via Mos ID in Moscow and MTS ID in other regions. Thanks to these methods, the service has prevented over 142,000 minors from renting.
