The new UTS-800 training aircraft attracts foreigners due to the possibility of full localization of its production. This was stated by Ekaterina Zgirovskaya, official representative of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA).
The UTS-800 has already been shown at many major international exhibitions. The model was demonstrated in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
They were especially attracted by the full localization of UTS-800 production. In this regard, the focus of negotiations has shifted to the possibilities of production cooperation, technology transfer, and localization of aircraft assembly at the customer's site.
Zgirovskaya noted that for a number of countries, the UTS-800 will be useful not only as a "training desk" but also as a patrol aircraft.
We expect that our friendly neighbors in the post-Soviet space, where Russian fighters and attack aircraft are in service, will also pay attention to our development.
UZGA brought the UTS-800 to an international exhibition in Belarus. However, the company chose not to show its key flagship model, the LMS-901 "Baikal", at the event.
Earlier it became known that the VK-800SP turboprop engine is fully ready for testing on the UTS-800.
