Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has transferred another batch of high-speed boats and airboats for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The equipment is intended for search and rescue operations, patrolling water areas, and prompt delivery of specialists and equipment to hard-to-reach areas.
As part of the May shipment, four RPK-640 patrol boats and six airboats were dispatched from the company's production facilities. The new vessels are designed to operate in difficult hydrometeorological conditions and are characterized by high maneuverability and stability when operating on water and in coastal areas.
The company notes that the development of small shipbuilding continues, and deliveries of such equipment to government agencies are carried out on a regular basis. This allows for the gradual expansion of the fleet of specialized watercraft used in the emergency response system.
