The company "Dieselzipservice" (part of the KMZ production holding) is assembling a DV71L gas turbine engine as part of a scheduled repair and resource restoration for customers from the fuel and energy complex. The engine has already undergone disassembly and defect inspection, as a result of which all worn components and parts were identified and replaced. After assembly, the unit will undergo bench tests and preservation, after which it will be sent to the customer.
DV71L Engine: Design and Characteristics
The DV71L is a three-shaft gas turbine engine from the UGT 6000 series manufactured by GP NPKG "Zorya"-"Mashproekt". Its key technical parameters are:
- Power: 10,000 hp (about 6 MW).
- Efficiency: 32%.
- Rotation speed: 10,000 rpm.
- Dimensions (LxWxH): 3.2 × 1.6 × 1.8 m.
- Weight: 3.1 t.
The compressors are axial: the low-pressure compressor (LPC) has 8 stages, the high-pressure compressor (HPC) has 9 stages. The combustion chamber is tubular-annular, counter-flow, 10-tube. The compressor turbines are axial, single-stage; the power turbine is axial (from 2 to 6 stages, depending on the modification). Starting is carried out by spinning the low-pressure turbocompressor rotor with an AC electric starter with a continuous power of 30 kW.
Where the DV71L Engine is Used
The DV71L is used as a drive for natural gas compressors at PAO "Gazprom" enterprises. The engine is installed on gas pumping units (GPU), ensuring gas transportation through main pipelines. Previously, the installation and commissioning of the DV71L were carried out, in particular, at the Novozapolyarny NGKM facility (OOO "Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg").
The high reliability and low specific weight of engines in this series have determined their widespread use in energy supply and the oil and gas sector, especially at facilities remote from service and repair centers. "Dieselzipservice" is the only enterprise carrying out repairs of DV71L gas turbine engines in Russia.
