Specialists of the Kalashnikov Concern have developed immobilization splints for emergency fracture fixation. They were first shown at an exhibition within the framework of the International Security Forum in the Moscow region.
The splints can be used to fix upper and lower limbs, and the cervical spine. The medical device is made from Russian components.
This is the concern's newest product; its testing is currently ongoing.
Inside the splint is an aluminum plate that bends and allows for anatomical shape correction. If it is necessary to fix the cervical spine, access can be left for emergency procedures, such as tracheostomy. In this case, the medic will not need to remove the structure.
When the splints receive a registration number, they will begin to be sent to Russian troops, the concern concluded.
