TMH-Electrotech factory has assembled 16 thousand NVA-55S electric motors, which are used in Russian freight and passenger locomotives. Production is carried out on a new line in the electrical machinery workshop, where the enterprise is increasing the output of equipment for TMH machinery.
The three-phase NVA-55S engine with a power of 55 kW is used as a starting unit and ensures the operation of main compressors and cooling fans on "Yermak" family electric locomotives, EP1M passenger locomotives, and NP1 traction units. The stable operation of these machines is crucial for the key locomotive systems during operation.
Engine assembly is organized in a specialized section of the new electrical machinery workshop No. 1. The production line is equipped with modern equipment that allows accelerating product output and controlling quality at all stages of assembly.
"TMH-Electrotech", part of "TMH-Energetic Solutions", produces 26 types of traction and auxiliary electric machines, generators, and units for locomotives, electric trains, and subway cars. The enterprise is also expanding its product line within import substitution programs and supplies components for TMH group factories, including Metrovagonmash, Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant, Tver Carriage Works, Bryansk Machine-Building Plant, and Kolomna Plant.
