Shipbuilders of the Alekseev Central Design Bureau for SPK (Nizhny Novgorod) have completed the construction of the river shallow-draft passenger hydrofoil vessel "Politruk Klochkov" (project "Valdai 45R"). This is the fourth motor ship to be transferred to the Saratov region.
The press service of the Russian Classification Society stated that "Politruk Klochkov" is the 22nd vessel of this project. In total, the region acquired 5 "Valdais". The first 2 - "Yuri Gagarin" and "Petr Stolypin" are already in operation, and 3 more will start their routes in May.

The R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for SPK was engaged in the development of the project from 2012 to 2014. It was planned that the new motor ships would replace the Soviet SPK "Polesye". Serial construction of the vessels began in 2019. The production cycle of one unit is 5-7 months.
