The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has issued a type approval certificate for TK45 turbochargers. The document confirms that the equipment from the Penza plant "Penzadieselmash" meets the requirements for installation on marine vessels.
The new line has undergone a full cycle of tests. The units operated at maximum loads, maximum rotational speed, and withstood an emergency threshold exceedance of 20%.
Based on the test results, engineers noted high efficiency, compact dimensions, and ease of maintenance. The turbochargers are designed for Kolomensky Zavod D500 diesel engines with a power of up to 7.3 MW – these engines are used in shipbuilding and nuclear power plants.
Penza products meet the need for import substitution: TK45 are capable of replacing Swiss compressors that were previously purchased abroad. There are currently no direct analogues of this model on the Russian market.
