SBSP enters big business: transfer limits for companies will increase to 30 million

The Central Bank plans to allow them in 2027

The Bank of Russia has supported a sharp increase in the limit for transfers via the Faster Payments System for businesses – from the current 1 million to 30 million rubles per transaction. The new rules may affect both settlements between companies and individual payments to the budget.

According to the Central Bank, the technical implementation of the new limits is planned for 2027. This will require infrastructure upgrades from banks and SBSP participants. The credit organizations themselves initiated the increase in limits.

Market participants believe that expanding the limit can significantly speed up settlements and increase money turnover in business. This is especially true for companies where the speed of funds receipt is important.

At the same time, experts note that SBSP is currently much more popular among ordinary users than in the B2B segment. Many companies continue to use classic bank transfers, and the share of business payments via SBSP remains relatively small.

Nevertheless, in certain areas, the new limit can significantly simplify work. For example, when paying for expensive services or cars via QR codes, the current limit of 1 million rubles is no longer sufficient.

Earlier, the Bank of Russia had already introduced a similar increase in the limit – from 1 million to 30 million rubles – for transfers between individuals' own accounts in different banks.
