Attackers have mastered a new way to harm citizens who have resisted attempts at deception: they make small bank transfers via the FPS with provocative comments such as "for drugs" or "for selling a card." Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Center for Law and Order in Moscow and the Moscow Region, told the Prime agency about this. According to him, blocking an account is the mildest of the possible consequences for the recipient of such transfers.
If such a transfer does occur, the lawyer advises not to touch the money and not to send it back yourself: this may be regarded as participation in the scheme. It is necessary to immediately report the transfer to the bank and file a police report about an attempt to defame your reputation.
A separate problem is notifications: many users have enabled notifications about debits, but not about credits to the account. Khaminsky recommends regularly checking the statement and tracking receipts from unknown senders. According to him, careful attention to the state of the account remains the only reliable way to protect against such revenge.
