Fraudulent Websites in Russia Now Blocked in Under 8 Hours

The number of prevented cyberattacks increased by 53.7% thanks to the state program "Information Society"

Dangerous websites are being disabled faster. In Russia, in 2025, phishing and fraudulent resources were blocked in an average of less than 8 hours – which turned out to be faster than the planned level. This is stated in the report on the implementation of the state program "Information Society".

The average blocking time for fraudulent resources was 7 hours and 48 minutes. Previously, it was expected that by the end of 2025, blocking would take about 8 hours.

At the same time, the share of prevented cyber fraud significantly increased – by 53.7% compared to 2024. For comparison, the planned growth was only 2%.

The number of participants in the cybercrime counteraction system also increased. It includes executive authorities, telecom operators, and financial organizations. Their share reached 8% with a plan of 5%.

From March 1, 2026, the state information system "Antifraud" fully became operational in Russia. It allows participants to exchange data on signs of illegal activities and respond more quickly to threats.
