Engineers from VIAM named after Zhukovsky have developed technologies for manufacturing gas turbine blades capable of operating at extreme temperatures up to 2000 °C. The center specializes in developing beryllium-based alloys and producing parts for aviation, space, and nuclear technology.
VIAM pays special attention to materials operating under ultra-high temperatures and loads.
The key competence of the enterprise is the full cycle of creating products from beryllium and its alloys: from obtaining materials to manufacturing finished components and applying protective coatings.
A separate area is gas turbine engine components, including high-pressure turbine blades. They operate in a hot gas stream at temperatures up to 2000 °C, where conventional materials quickly lose strength.
Previously, the company "GT Energo" was the only one in the world to introduce a magnetic suspension system into power generation. The turbine in it operates without vibrations and friction.
