Rosoboronexport is ready to cooperate with Southeast Asian countries on supplies of air defense systems that have proven effective in combat operations. This was stated by a representative of the special exporter.
The organization recalled that defense industry enterprises have developed a range of air defense assets — from man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS) to long-range surface-to-air missile systems. Many of them are used by Russian Armed Forces service members in combat conditions.
At the ongoing DSA 2026 exhibition in Malaysia, a model of the Pantsir-S1M anti-aircraft missile and gun system, developed by the Vysokotochnye Kompleksy holding, is being presented.
"Pantsir-S1M" can be effectively used within a single integrated framework together with other air defense systems.
Among the advantages of the system are the use of 3 types of guided surface-to-air missiles, the destruction of aerial and ground targets, and high mobility. Service members highly value the "Pantsir-S1M" for its ability to fire while on the move, the Rosoboronexport representative concluded.
