The Kalashnikov concern has begun testing a new Krona anti-aircraft missile system designed to destroy drones. The system belongs to the short-range class and is designed to cover important facilities, urban infrastructure and strategic directions.
"Krona" is a unified network of detection, control and fire modules, both mobile and stationary. Serial anti-aircraft guided missiles from Kalashnikov are used as weapons.
According to the CEO of the concern, Alan Lushnikov, less than two years passed from the beginning of development to the creation of the complex.
This became possible thanks to extensive experience in countering drones. I am sure that the complex will be extremely effective and in demand.
As a reminder, "Krona" is equipped with a set of ten anti-aircraft guided missiles: six Sosna-R and four 9M333. The readiness time of the vehicle is 10 minutes. The affected area is up to 6 km in range and from 0.03 to 3.5 km in height.
