Reactive "Geranium-5" Will Force a Rethink of Anti-Drone Air Defense

Military expert Boris Rozhin: the drone is capable of hitting the most protected targets

The new reactive drone "Geranium-5" with a range of up to 600 km may change approaches to air defense, according to military expert Boris Rozhin.

According to him, "Geranium-5" is an exclusively Russian development that has made serious progress from its progenitor in technical terms.

The emergence of new models will force us to rethink the tactics of using anti-drone weapons and adapt to new threats.

Rozhin added that the combat characteristics of "Geranium-5" are increasing from the point of view of both range and armament. Now the drone is capable of hitting even the most protected targets with modern systems.

According to available data, "Geranium-5" is capable of hitting targets at a range of up to 600 km, although figures of up to 1000 km were previously mentioned. The drone is equipped with a jet engine, develops a speed of more than 350 km/h and uses machine vision algorithms to aim at the target.
